Why you should think about writing an inmate!

Do you know what it is like to be completely forgotten? I'm talking no communication from family,friends, and being shut out from the entire world? Well most inmates that have been locked up for 5 years or more say that they are forgotten after this amount of time. How would you feel if everyone you knew forgot you existed, or didn't care if you did? Those of you who say these inmates deserve to be shut out from society, do the life sentence prisoners really deserve this forever? Just think about that for a second, who deserves to be shut out from the world for a life time. I understand the mass serial killers being put away forever, but don't they deserve some kind of communication outside of those walls? Prisoners are people too, if I was in prison for life I would hope that someone would want to talk to me and possibly become friends/pen pals. I have a pen pal that I e-mail and he is very appreciative of having me, he said I am the first to write him off the site above! He isn't a life sentence prisoner but he has a few years left. Jeff is a really sweet guy will goals in life and he is a motivational speaker in prison. These people are just like us, just behind bars!!
